Three hours of trails a’blazing <br />Three hours just simply amazing <br />Though I have pain wherever I sit <br />How I obtained the pain is well worth it <br />Three hours upon a horse’s back <br />A feat not many amateurs can hack <br />With the sun shining and no sign of showers <br />I regard the trees and grown wild flowers <br />Upon a golden horse, on a golden day <br />I must stay the course, or else lose my way <br />Walk to trot, and then trot to run <br />These are the gaits beneath the shining sun <br />Into the creek, a thirst to attend <br />The horse on which I sit, is now my new friend <br />At the end of the trail, a friendly horse I have kissed <br />and three hours of life, that will not be sorely missed <br />Three hours of trails a’blazing <br />Three hours that were simply amazing<br /><br />Glaedr the poet<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/three-hours-upon-a-horse-s-back/
